Is East Coast Karting indoor or outdoor?

This is a fully outdoor racing facility. The track is open seasonally (typically spring to autumn) and offers a true tarmac racing experience under the sun.

Where is the track located?

The track is located at 74 Babin Road, in Greater Lakeburn, NB. It is a very short drive (approx. 10-15 minutes) from downtown Dieppe and Moncton.

Do I need to book in advance?

For "Arrive & Drive" sessions, you can often walk in, but booking is recommended during peak summer weekends. For group events (Bachelor parties, corporate) or Grand Prix packages, reservations are mandatory.

How fast are the karts?

The adult gas-powered Sodi karts can reach speeds of approximately 70 kph (45 mph) on the straightaways. The sensation of speed is amplified by being low to the ground and outdoors.

What are the age requirements?

Junior drivers can typically start racing from 7 years old (SWS Junior Cup age). Adult karts generally require drivers to be at least 14+ years old and meet the height requirement.

Is there a height restriction?

Yes. To safely operate the adult karts, drivers usually need to be at least 54 inches (137 cm) tall to reach the pedals. Junior karts have a lower height requirement appropriate for children.

Can we race in the rain?

Because it is an outdoor track with slick racing tires, operations are weather-dependent. Light rain might be permitted for experienced groups, but heavy rain or standing water usually pauses racing for safety.

Do I need a driver's licence?

No, you do not need a government-issued driver's licence to race. You will, however, need to sign a waiver (parents must sign for minors) and attend a safety briefing.
