About TAG E-Karting & Amusement

TAG E-Karting & Amusement is not just a go-kart track; it is arguably the most advanced motorsport entertainment complex in Canada. Located in Sainte-Thérèse (North Shore of Montreal), this massive facility is the brainchild of Canadian racing legend Alex Tagliani. The centerpiece is a stunning three-level indoor electric karting track—a layout rarely seen in North America. By using silent, fume-free electric karts, TAG delivers a clean and high-tech racing environment year-round. Beyond the track, the venue serves as a complete "Family Entertainment Centre" (FEC), featuring bowling, laser tag, axe throwing, and a 7D cinema, making it the ultimate destination for corporate parties, birthdays, and adrenaline seekers.

The Track Layouts

The track design here is world-class, featuring multiple configurations that utilize the facility's three floors:

  • Adult Track (330m): A technical multi-level course featuring elevation changes, ramps, and tight corners.
  • Junior Track (75m): A dedicated, safe circuit on the ground floor specifically designed for younger drivers (Ages 7-12).
  • The "Super Track" (500m): The crown jewel. At specific times, the Adult and Junior tracks are combined to create a massive half-kilometer mega-track that spans all three levels. (Check the schedule for "Super Track" availability).
  • Reversed Tuesdays: On Tuesdays, the track direction is often reversed, offering a completely new driving challenge for regulars.

The Karts

TAG operates a fleet of premium CRG E-Drenaline electric karts, imported from Italy.

  • Performance: These are state-of-the-art machines. Unlike gas karts that need to "rev up," these provide instant torque and acceleration. They feature a "Boost" button (KERS style) for overtaking and can be remotely speed-controlled for safety.
  • Adult Karts: Available for drivers 55 inches (140 cm) and taller.
  • Kids Karts: Smaller chassis designed for drivers 48 inches (122 cm) to roughly 60 inches.
  • Note: Currently, TAG E-Karting operates single-seater karts only. Double-seater karts are not typically listed in their rental fleet.

Facilities & Amusement

You could spend an entire day here without racing. The "Amusement" side of the name is fully earned:

  • Laser Tag: A futuristic arena for team battles.
  • Bowling: 6 lanes of "Duckpin Social" bowling (smaller pins/balls, no rental shoes required).
  • Axe Throwing: Interactive projected targets for adults (16+).
  • Virtual Reality: Featuring the "Zero Latency" free-roam VR arena and 7D Interactive Cinema.
  • TAG Resto-Bar: A full-service restaurant and bar overlooking the track, perfect for grabbing a burger and beer after your heat.

Race Formats

  • Arrive & Drive: The standard format. You book a single session (approx. 8 minutes) or a multi-race package.
  • RaceFacer App: It is highly recommended to create a profile and book via the RaceFacer app or website before arrival to secure your slot, as the track gets extremely busy on weekends.
  • Leagues: Competitive leagues run throughout the year for drivers who want to test their skills against the best in Montreal.
