Race head-to-head at Newfoundland and Labrador's leading kart tracks.

Karting in Newfoundland and Labrador is strictly a summer tradition. With no permanent indoor rental tracks currently operating in St. John's, the season runs from June to September. The scene is defined by family-style racing at major adventure parks, while serious motorsport enthusiasts flock to Avondale to watch stock car and drag racing events.

The primary destination for public go-karting is Splash 'n' Putt Resort in Traytown (near Terra Nova National Park). This adventure park features a dedicated 1/4-mile go-kart track that winds through the resort. It offers both single and double-seater karts, making it the go-to spot for families crossing the island on the Trans-Canada Highway. The track features bridges and tunnels, offering a more engaging layout than a standard flat oval. For motorsport culture, Eastbound International Speedway in Avondale is the province's crown jewel. While primarily a NASCAR-sanctioned stock car oval and drag strip, it is the hub for all racing activity in the province. While they do not offer daily "Arrive & Drive" rentals for the public, the facility is where the province's competitive racing community resides, including development series for younger drivers (Bandolero/Legends). Important Note:
  • Seasonal Only: All karting options in the province are outdoors and weather-dependent.
  • Indoor Status: There are currently no indoor go-kart tracks in St. John's or Corner Brook. Facilities like Frontline Action focus on laser tag and paintball.
