Castlefin X-Treme Karting Is Permanently Closed
About Castlefin X-Treme Karting
Castlefin X-Treme Karting is permanently closed and no public karting is available at its former Sessiagh site in County Donegal. The 1km track property was advertised for sale in 2019, later planning material proposed using the former circuit as a display area, and current map-derived evidence marks the attraction permanently closed. The compromised former operator domain, old contact details, fixed hours and every booking field have been removed while the URL remains as a historical record.
Detailed guide
Castlefin X-Treme Karting is permanently closed
Castlefin X-Treme Karting no longer operates as a public karting venue at Sessiagh. The page is retained to prevent old directory and tourism references from sending visitors to an apparently active attraction.
Closure evidence and directory action
- Property sale: the home and approximately 1km former kart track were publicly offered for sale in July 2019.
- Site reuse: later planning material described using the existing kart track as a display area rather than an operating circuit.
- Current status: map-derived business data marks the former attraction permanently closed.
- Unsafe domain: castlefinkarting.com now carries unrelated gambling content and has been removed from the listing.
What the former venue offered
- Track: historical tourism material described an outdoor tarmac course over roughly nine acres.
- Layout: long straights, hairpins, sweeping bends and anti-clockwise running formed the former challenge.
- Performance: former descriptions promoted speeds around 55mph on the straight.
- Facilities: timing, safety equipment, briefing, parking and spectator space were previously advertised, not current services.
Before making plans
- Do not travel: public arrive-and-drive, group events and track access are not available here.
- Do not book: old third-party availability pages are not evidence that Castlefin has reopened.
- Closure date: the exact final trading date is not safely established, so this record does not invent one.
- Alternatives: use the current County Donegal and Ireland directory results for active karting.
