Raceline Karting FAQs

Venue-specific questions and answers for this circuit.

Yes. The kart track ("Raceline Karting") is one of the activities located inside the Off Road NZ adventure park. (They also offer 4WD Bush Safaris and Monster Truck rides at the same location).

Because of the 390cc engines and the long straight, these karts can reach speeds of approximately 100 km/h (62 mph). This is significantly faster than indoor tracks (usually 45-60 km/h).

Due to the high speeds, the limit is stricter than usual: - Minimum Age: 14 Years Old. - Minimum Height: 1.4 Meters. Note: There are usually no "kids karts" available for 7-10 year olds here due to the track size.

It is at 193 Amoore Road, Mamaku. Directions: Drive north from Rotorua on SH5 (towards Hamilton) for about 15-20 minutes. You will see signs for "Off Road NZ" turning left into the Mamaku ranges.

Yes. It is a popular tourist destination. Also, the track is sometimes closed for private KartSport Club race days, so you must check availability before driving up the mountain.

Generally, yes. They provide wet weather suits (overalls). Racing these high-speed karts in the wet is a drift-heavy, adrenaline-filled challenge.
