Detailed guide
Cartio Môn was Anglesey’s premier outdoor go-karting venue, located just off the A5 near Bodedern. For over a decade, the 400m floodlit track was a staple for tourists and locals, famous for its "slick and wet" tyre options and farm-based hospitality.
The venue is Permanently Closed. The closure is widely attributed to the economic strain of the COVID-19 pandemic. In October 2020, the venue made national headlines when owner Martin Williams publicly lambasted the Welsh Government after the "Phase 3 Economic Resilience Fund" (ERF) was shut down just 24 hours after opening, leaving his business "high and dry" without the support needed to survive the winter.
Current Status: The track has been repurposed. The site now operates as Cartio Môn Campsite, a quiet touring park for caravans and motorhomes. The roar of engines has been replaced by the peace of the Anglesey countryside.
