About The Garage
The Garage Kilmarnock is an institution in Ayrshire. While most tracks are standalone industrial units, The Garage is a sprawling leisure complex housed in a converted 1930s building. It is the "Swiss Army Knife" of days out: you can race 200cc petrol karts, play a round of adventure golf, bowl a strike, eat a Wimpy burger, and then go clubbing—all without leaving the building. For go-karters, the track is tight, technical, and grippy, offering a classic indoor petrol experience that feels fast and physical.

Detailed guide
The Karting Experience
- The Track: A professionally designed indoor circuit. It isn't the longest in Scotland, but it is highly technical. It focuses on "drifting and swerving," making it a favorite for those who prefer handling over raw straight-line speed.
- Format Options: * Arrive & Drive: 12-minute timed sprints.
- Grand Prix: For 8+ drivers; includes practice, qualifiers, and a trophy final.
- Karting Hours: Typically runs from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM daily (shorter than the bowling hours).
The "Flex Space" & Activities
The venue recently added Flex Space, a high-tech entertainment hub:
- Trackman Golf Simulator: Professional-grade swing analysis.
- Karaoke & Cinema Rooms: Private booths for hire.
- Adventure Golf: Two 9-hole "crazy golf" courses.
- Bowling: 12 fully computerized lanes with optional bumpers for kids.
The Iconic Wimpy
The Garage is one of the few places in the UK where you can still find a full-service Wimpy restaurant inside an entertainment complex. It is the standard "refueling" spot for kids' parties and stag groups alike.
