If you are looking for something to liven up your special party weekend, how about challenging your friends to a kart race? A go karting stag do or hen party is a great complement to any weekend; fast, thrilling action whilst trying to beat your mates is a sure-fire way to get the adrenaline pumping and blood flowing.

What event is right for you?
There are many variables that can dictate what sort of race you can do, but if your group is small and you want to actually race rather than just take part in a practice session then an event that is open to the public may be the best option. Larger groups (10+) generally have a better chance of exclusive use on many of the indoor circuits as well as some of the smaller outdoor tracks.
Many go karting tracks cater for groups of stags and hens and, depending on the venue, you can have access to the all important licensed bar and hot or cold food.
Some go karting circuits have additional activities like clay pigeon shooting, off-road buggies, paintball and quad safaris so why not make a full day of it?
Choosing the right race format
Depending upon the size of your group the racing could last for a morning or afternoon or simply be for an hour or two before you move on to your next planned event. What to expect
Typically, smaller groups of fewer than ten drivers are only likely to get exclusive use of the track if it’s an indoor circuit and even then it can’t be guaranteed. Subject to what day you’ve selected you may have to settle for shared use in something like a team endurance race but these can be great fun and a great way to ‘break the ice’.
Larger groups of 15+ drivers can normally get exclusive use of most indoor venues but at an outdoor circuit this too may be on the small size to get the track to yourselves. But if you still can’t find what you want the get in touch and we’ll be happy to help plan that special day.
Go Karting
A lot of the popular stag/hen party locations such as Newcastle, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester and Bristol have tracks close by and all will be open at the weekend from 10 in the morning until late. Just let us know where you are planning to spend your last weekend of freedom and the type of event you are looking for and leave the rest to us!
Other Activities
Buggies and Quad Bikes
Naturally we understand that not everyone is addicted to motorsport as we are but are happy to join in with something less speed orientated. Quad bikes are great for this as the majority of bike events are safaris over fantastic countryside. Buggies too can be great fun though the majority of these events tend to be ‘against the clock - rather than full-on races.
4x4 courses
If racing is not for you but you enjoy driving then 4x4 days offer a real challenge. Many courses are under the guidance of BORDA instructors and depending upon the level of experience the day will take place over a range of terrains with increasing levels of difficulty.
Rally days
And if you want to combine off-road driving with speed then why not try rally driving? There are a full range of days out where you will be driving anything from Peugeot 206, Ford Escort RS200 right up to Subaru Impreza WRX - what's not to like?
