Feel the adrenaline rush at Greater Belfast & The East's top karting venues.

If you are looking for the highest concentration of kart tracks in Northern Ireland, this is it. Greater Belfast and the surrounding counties of Antrim and Down offer a perfect mix of experiences. You can find high-speed outdoor racing on "International" spec tarmac just minutes from the airport, or technical indoor circuits that are perfect for our unpredictable weather.

The crown jewel of the region is Nutts Corner Circuit (Crumlin). Located just 20 minutes from Belfast city centre, this is Northern Ireland's ultimate outdoor track. It measures over 2km in length—massive by rental standards—and runs a fleet of Sodi GT5 Petrol Karts (270cc) that can exceed 50mph. It is the default choice for stag dos and serious drivers who want wide run-off areas and high-speed corners. For indoor racing, the headline name is Eddie Irvine Sports in Bangor. Owned by the local Formula 1 legend, this venue offers a premium indoor experience with a layout designed to test drivers of all levels. It uses karts converted to run on LPG (Autogas), making for a cleaner racing environment without sacrificing the punch of a combustion engine. Further south down the A1, Lyons Karting (Hillsborough) offers a fast-flowing outdoor alternative near Lisburn. North of the city, Need 4 Speed Karting (Doagh) and Raceview Karting (Ballymena) provide excellent indoor facilities, with Raceview serving as a key hub for mid-Antrim residents. A Note on Pro Circuits: You will often hear Kirkistown and Bishopscourt mentioned in karting circles. These are primarily Owner/Driver competition circuits used for official Motorsport UK club racing and Superkarts. While they are legendary tarmac strips, they do not offer standard "Arrive & Drive" rental karting in the same way the dedicated venues below do.

Nutts Corner Circuit is approximately a 20-25 minute drive west. Eddie Irvine Sports (Bangor) is about 25-30 minutes east. There are no permanent go-kart tracks directly inside Belfast city centre.

Nutts Corner is a fully outdoor circuit. It is one of the largest in the UK/Ireland. They provide wet weather suits, but you will be racing in the elements.

Generally, no—not for "Arrive & Drive" rental sessions. Bishopscourt and Kirkistown are primarily motorsport venues for owner-drivers, track days, and club racing (Superkarts/Rotax). For rental karting with friends, you should book Nutts Corner or Lyons Karting.

Most tracks (like Need 4 Speed and Raceview) have Junior karts for ages 8+ (usually with a height requirement of around 130-135cm).

No. They use LPG (gas) powered karts. This gives the performance and sound of a petrol engine but with cleaner emissions than standard petrol karts.
