Find the perfect karting experience in Surrey.

Surrey is widely considered the "Gold Standard" for outdoor rental karting in the South East. While other counties rely on converted industrial warehouses, Surrey boasts purpose-built outdoor tarmac circuits that rival professional race tracks. If you want high speeds, wide run-offs, and 2-stroke engines, this is your destination.

The undisputed king of the region is Daytona Sandown Park in Esher. Located within the grounds of the famous horse racing course, this venue is often cited as the best rental kart facility in the UK. It features a massive 900m outdoor circuit with significant elevation changes and professional kerbing. Uniquely, it offers two distinct fleets: the standard 4-stroke Sodi karts for casual groups, and the legendary DMAX 2-stroke karts (Rotax engines) for experienced drivers. These DMAX machines are significantly faster than standard rentals, capable of 70mph, making Sandown the primary choice for serious racers. Further north, near the London border, lies Surbiton Raceway (Worcester Park). Despite the name, it is located in Surrey and offers a fantastic 700m outdoor track. It is slightly tighter and more technical than Sandown, making it a favourite for drivers who enjoy "elbow-to-elbow" racing. It runs a modern fleet of Sodi RT10 petrol karts and is particularly well-regarded for its junior tuition and family-friendly atmosphere. Note on Indoor Racing: Surprisingly, there are few major indoor tracks deep inside Surrey itself (TeamSport Camberley closed some years ago). Most residents looking for indoor electric racing travel to the borders: TeamSport Farnborough serves the west (Camberley/Guildford), while TeamSport Mitcham and TeamSport Crawley serve the east and south respectively.

Daytona Sandown Park is the fastest, specifically if you book the DMAX karts. These high-performance 2-stroke machines are capable of speeds up to 70mph on the 900m outdoor circuit, which is significantly faster than standard indoor karts (usually capped at 40mph).

Surbiton Raceway is an outdoor circuit. It features a 700m tarmac track with floodlights, allowing for evening racing year-round. It is a great alternative for those who find Daytona too expensive or busy.

No, TeamSport Camberley has permanently closed. The nearest indoor track for residents of Camberley and Guildford is now TeamSport Farnborough, which is just across the Hampshire border and features a modern multi-level electric layout.

Generally, no. The DMAX karts are very fast and physically demanding. You typically need to demonstrate experience (e.g., a previous log of lap times or a racing licence) or complete a check-out session before being allowed to race them in competitive heats. Beginners will start in the Sodi 4-stroke karts.

Mercedes-Benz World (Weybridge) is primarily for driving experiences in road cars (AMG/4x4). While they sometimes run temporary activities or simulator sessions, they do not have a permanent "Arrive & Drive" karting circuit in the same way as Daytona or Surbiton.

Daytona Sandown Park is the premium choice due to its size and facilities (bar, conference rooms), but it comes with a premium price tag. Surbiton Raceway is a very popular alternative that offers excellent racing at a slightly more accessible price point for casual groups.
