The ultimate destination for karting enthusiasts in West Sussex.
West Sussex is the true engine room of South Coast motorsport. While many people search for karting in "Brighton," the reality is that the major tracks are physically located here, just across the county border. Following the closure of the family track at Brooklands Park, the focus has shifted entirely to high-performance facilities that offer some of the best electric and petrol racing in the UK.
The largest indoor venue in the county is TeamSport Crawley. Located near Gatwick Airport, this is a flagship facility featuring a massive 800m multi-level track. It has recently been upgraded to run a fleet of high-performance electric karts, which are perfect for tackling the circuit's complex flyovers and tight hairpins without the fumes associated with older indoor tracks. It is a favourite for corporate events due to its proximity to the airport and M23.
Serving the coast is TeamSport Brighton, which is actually located in Lancing Business Park. This was one of the first tracks in the UK to showcase the potential of electric racing. The 450m multi-level layout is tight and technical, designed specifically to harness the instant torque of the "EcoVolt" karts, making it the go-to destination for racers from Worthing and Hove who need a local fix.
For those who prefer the roar of a petrol engine and open skies, QLeisure (Brighton Karting) in Albourne is the undisputed champion. Situated just off the A23, this 800m outdoor circuit is fast, wide, and flowing. It uses powerful 270cc Sodi petrol karts capable of 50mph, offering a "proper" driver's challenge that indoor tracks simply cannot match.
