Track guide

Join KTG for an expert Buckmore Park Wet Track Guide, filmed during Round 10 of the heavyweight Club100 Sprints. With showers and low temperatures keeping the track slippery all day, this video blends several laps from three heats and the C final to showcase optimal racing lines and overtaking spots in greasy conditions. Whether you’re a Club100 racer or a karting enthusiast, this Buckmore Park Wet Track Guide offers invaluable tips for mastering the circuit when it’s wet and unpredictable.

Driver notes

Handy tips for wet weather karting at Buckmore Park
The top of the track, furtherest away from the car park, is slowest to dry. Whereas the areas nearer the car park seem to dry faster and have grippier tarmac.
Overtaking
In the wet, it’s possible to overtake anywhere, as other drivers frequently make mistakes. My preferred locations are either into, or out, of the Hairpin 2, into, or out of Paddock, and into, or out of Garda. The trick is to go wide into the corner, turn the kart as soon as possible, get it pointed straight - then accelerate.
Club100 kart review
Club100 race on slick tyres in the wet - but even so, you can still get a fair lick of speed approaching the top of the track. With 125cc Rotax engines, there’s more than enough power to have a wild time in the wet.

Inside track
Buckmore Park ticks all the boxes. It’s easy to get to, just off the motorway. There’s loads of parking space. Three sets of toilets. two cafes, several spectating spots and a well-kept entertainment space. This is quickly becoming one of my preferred karting spots.

Review
The Buckmore Park Wet Track Guide demonstrates how to adapt your driving to the unique challenges of racing in the rain. The higher sections of the track, furthest from the car park, dry slowest, while areas near the car park offer better grip. KTG reveals key overtaking zones, including Hairpin 2, Paddock, and Garda—executed by going wide, rotating the kart quickly, and accelerating early.
Throughout the Buckmore Park Wet Track Guide, KTG showcases Club100’s slick-tyre racing in wet conditions, with 125cc Rotax engines delivering plenty of power for thrilling laps. Buckmore Park’s excellent amenities—ample parking, multiple cafes, clean facilities, and great spectator spots—make it one of KTG’s preferred karting venues.
