Track guide
Join Brad Philpot for an expert Fulbeck Track Guide, filmed during the first test of the GX-UK 2024 season where he came out on top. This in-depth video breaks down the intricacies of the Fulbeck Circuit, highlighting key areas to use or avoid, along with practical advice to help you fast-track your lap time improvements. Whether you're a seasoned racer or new to the GX-UK series, this Fulbeck Track Guide equips you with essential strategies for mastering this historic Lincolnshire circuit.
Driver notes
Best overtaking spot:
Into the two hairpins.
Pro tips:
Avoid the large pothole / bump on the exit of Bus Stop 1. Use a large amount of kerb in almost every corner. Focus on corner late braking but also good corner exits.
About the Karts:
GX-UK Karts are an affordable owner-driver series using two-stroke style chassis and sealed Honda GX engines. See my OTK / Tony Kart build here.
Inside track
Fulbeck Kart Circuit, home to Fulbeck Karting, is a gem in the heart of Lincolnshire. Originally a racing ground for home-built machines around an aircraft hanger at RAF Fulbeck, it has evolved into a 930-metre long circuit, boasting long straights interjected with hairpins and bus stop chicanes.
To get there, you drive down a long, poorly maintained access road with car-wrecking potholes (a bumpy ride in the van!). The cafe is only open at very specific hours.
Track surface is in very poor condition with some large rough patches craters. It’s good value for money, but don't expect anything fancy at all!
