Track guide
Join Racing Dean for an in-depth Lydd Track Guide, featuring footage from a Club100 Sprint Race in the Heavyweight division at this fast and flowing Kent circuit. Captured during an event where Racing Dean progressed from the C Final to the B Final for the first time, this video showcases key racing lines and overtaking strategies. Whether you're new to Club100 or looking to sharpen your technique, this Lydd Track Guide is essential viewing for mastering one of the UK’s most popular kart circuits.
Driver notes
Preferred overtaking spots:
End of the back straight.
Kart review:
Technically, Club100 karts are rental karts, but these machines use a water cooled 125cc engine made by Rotax. They are the fastest arrive and drive karts in the UK. They’re great—far faster than a twin engine pro kart and about 80% as fast as an Owner Driver Rotax.
Value for money:
A sprint weekend with Club100 costs £219.00 per round inc. + £50.00 one-off registration fee. Far cheaper than buying your own go kart!
Inside track
Lydd Karting features modest facilities. There’s a diner-like cafe with a pretty decent viewing gallery. Toilets are above average. The general locale is easy on the eye and the track remains a firm favourite in my book.
If you’re after a rental karting fix, Lydd karting track go karts are the usual single engine affair, but you’re likely to reach top speeds down their long straights and around their flowing corners.
Review
The Lydd Track Guide highlights ideal overtaking opportunities, particularly at the end of the back straight—a prime spot for decisive moves. Racing Dean expertly demonstrates how to maximise the potential of Club100’s water-cooled 125cc Rotax-powered karts, renowned as the fastest arrive-and-drive machines in the UK, significantly outperforming typical twin-engine pro karts.
Throughout the Lydd Track Guide, viewers gain insights into Club100's sprint race format, which allows progression through multiple finals based on performance. With modest but functional facilities, including a diner-style café, decent viewing gallery, and above-average amenities, Lydd Karting remains a favourite for competitive and rental karting alike. A Club100 Sprint weekend costs £219 per round, plus a £50 one-off registration fee—excellent value compared to the expense of owning and maintaining your own kart.
