Track guide
Join Andy Hicks for an in-depth Rye House Track Guide, featuring both race and tuition footage from a full-on day of Club100 Sprint Racing at London’s iconic kart circuit. This video captures the highs and lows of racing, with insights into the practice sessions alongside the “Slim Jims” and a full sprint race on Sunday. Whether you’re new to Club100 or looking to refine your technique, this Rye House Track Guide offers valuable lessons from a competitive and congested race environment.
Driver notes
Overtaking:
It is tricky to overtake at Rye House. “If you don’t go forwards, you’ll go backwards!” The best places are if you have a good run down to stadium on the inside, and either late braking into Hairpin 1, or a switchback out of Hairpin 1. That said, I did nail an overtake on the way out of Hairpin 2, as you’ll see in the race heats.
Pro tips:
Rye House is always congested. Stay out of trouble in the heats to maximise your chances in the final.
Kart review
Club100 run de-tuned Rotax 2-stroke engines with Birel chassis and Kelgate brakes.
Inside track
Rye House has a cafe, toilets and overnight paddock, but no hookup. Rye House station is on the Greater Anglia line.

Andy shares key opportunities, including a strong run down to Stadium on the inside, late braking into Hairpin 1, or a switchback on the exit. He also demonstrates a successful overtake out of Hairpin 2 during the race heats, showing how opportunistic moves can make the difference.
Throughout the Rye House Track Guide, Andy navigates the circuit in Club100’s de-tuned Rotax 2-stroke karts with Birel chassis and Kelgate brakes. With congested racing typical at Rye House, Andy advises staying out of trouble in the heats to maximise chances in the final. The circuit offers practical amenities such as a café, toilets, and overnight paddock, with easy access via Rye House station on the Greater Anglia line.
