Detailed guide
Indoor electric karting at Apex
Apex Entertainment Virginia Beach includes an indoor kart circuit within its large Town Center entertainment complex. The karting is designed for individual drivers rather than adult-and-child passenger rides.
Karts and sessions
- Electric fleet: Apex publishes 26 Italian-built Sodi RTX karts.
- Single seats: all karts are for one driver and no passenger option is available.
- Heat format: sessions average about 15 laps with up to nine racers on track.
- Indoor course: hairpins and responsive electric acceleration create a higher-skill attraction than a basic fun-park ride.
Eligibility and preparation
- Minimum height: racers must be at least 61 inches tall.
- Maximum weight: the published limit is 265lb.
- Safety: closed-toe shoes, a head sock, helmet and completed waiver are required.
- Reservations: not compulsory, but recommended for weekends, holidays and school vacations; same-day online reservations are unavailable.
Wider Apex facilities
- Other attractions: bowling, arcade games, laser tag, axe throwing, escape rooms, bumper cars, ropes and simulators are listed.
- Food: the complex includes a restaurant and bar.
- Groups: private parties, corporate events and full buy-outs are handled by the Apex planning team.
- No directory booking: Kart Directory provides no checkout or external kart reservation button for this venue.
