Ocala Gran Prix (OGP) was one of the most respected karting facilities in North America for over 20 years. Located in Central Florida's "Horse Country," the 0.6-mile technical asphalt circuit was famous for its tight corners, high-grip surface, and the legendary "OGP Race Team" which developed numerous pro drivers for IndyCar and IMSA. It served as a key stop for the Florida Winter Tour and ROK Cup USA, drawing international talent every winter.
Status: Permanently Closed
- Closure: The facility officially ceased operations in June 2021. The closure was announced abruptly by owner Jorge Arellano in April 2021.
- The Reason: The high-value land was sold to support the massive expansion of the nearby World Equestrian Center (WEC). The track was demolished to make way for a luxury storage and warehousing complex for equestrian equipment.
- The Site Today: The circuit at 4121 NW 44th Ave has been removed. The site is now part of the industrial support infrastructure for the WEC.
