Velocity Indoor Karting was Omaha's premier indoor racing facility for over a decade. Located on South 72nd Street, it offered European-style karting to the Nebraska market. The facility is historically significant because of its connection to the active Joe's Karting. Local lore (and forum history) suggests that the founders originally collaborated on the Velocity project before a split led one partner to open Joe's Karting in Council Bluffs. While Velocity eventually folded, Joe's Karting survived and thrived.
