Go Karting in New Jersey
Start your engines at the most thrilling tracks in New Jersey.
New Jersey is arguably the best state in the US for indoor karting right now. It is home to Supercharged Entertainment in Edison, which holds the title for the largest indoor multi-level track in the world. Just up the turnpike, RPM Raceway in Jersey City offers a rival "MegaTrack" experience with views of the NYC skyline. If you prefer gas power and fresh air, the southern part of the state hosts New Jersey Motorsports Park, a professional outdoor venue that breeds future racing stars.
The headline attraction is Supercharged Entertainment (Edison). Opened recently, this facility is a behemoth. It features two uniquely designed tracks that can be combined into a single 3,395ft Supertrack, making it the longest indoor multi-level karting track in the world. It runs a massive fleet of electric karts on a track with 25 elevation changes, offering a roller-coaster-like driving experience.
In Jersey City, RPM Raceway is the go-to for city dwellers. It recently underwent a massive renovation to create its own multi-level "MegaTrack". While slightly shorter than Supercharged, it is incredibly technical and offers a premium "night out" vibe with VR simulations and a bar, making it popular for corporate events and adult groups.
For purists, New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) in Millville is the real deal. Located on a massive 500-acre complex that hosts professional road racing, its "Tempest Raceway" is a 1.1-mile outdoor karting facility. It runs high-speed gas karts and offers a level of grip and speed that indoor tracks simply cannot match.
The Shore Option: If you are down the shore near LBI, The Mainland (Manahawkin) offers a high-quality "Adventure Park" style experience. It features an outdoor track with electric karts, a rare combination that gives you the torque of electric motors with the open-air feeling of the beach.
