Go Karting in Florida
Discover premier karting circuits around Florida.
Florida is the winter capital of the karting world. While the rest of the country is covered in snow, Florida’s tracks are hosting international championships. For the rental driver, this means access to some of the highest-quality outdoor circuits in North America. Whether you are a tourist in Orlando looking for air-conditioned fun or a serious racer in Miami wanting to test your skills on a CIK-standard track, the Sunshine State has it all.
In Orlando, the scene is dominated by two giants. Orlando Kart Center (OKC) is the choice for serious drivers. Located near the airport, this outdoor facility features an 8/10-mile track with real curbing and run-off areas. It runs gas-powered karts and even offers "Speedy Karts" (faster 4-stroke race chassis) for qualified drivers. On the other hand, Andretti Indoor Karting is the ultimate tourist destination. With a massive multi-level electric track, bowling, and VR, it is designed for entertainment, though the track is still technical enough to challenge skilled drivers.
Heading south to Miami, AMR Motorplex in Homestead is legendary. Located in the parking lot of the Homestead-Miami NASCAR Speedway, this outdoor circuit is owned by the same group behind the famous Trackhouse Motorplex in NC. It is fast, wide, and technical, serving as a training ground for IndyCar and NASCAR drivers.
For those in Central/West Florida, Bushnell Motorsports Park is a hidden gem. It is one of the only kart tracks in the US featuring a bridge and underpass, adding a unique elevation element to its 7/10-mile layout.
Amusement Park Note: If you are strictly looking for "fun" tracks with huge drops and corkscrews, Fun Spot America (Orlando/Kissimmee) features patented multi-level tracks that are more like roller coasters than race circuits.

Go karting in Florida - FAQs
Common questions about karting in Florida.
For pure racing, Orlando Kart Center is the superior choice due to its outdoor competition layout and faster karts. For entertainment and air-conditioning, Andretti is the better option.
Daytona International Speedway does not have a permanent daily rental kart track for the public on its grounds. However, K1 Speed has a location in Daytona Beach for indoor racing.
Outdoor tracks like Orlando Kart Center and AMR Motorplex will typically pause operations during heavy rain or lightning but may run in light rain depending on safety conditions. Indoor tracks like Andretti and K1 Speed are unaffected by Florida's daily thunderstorms.
Orlando Kart Center offers an upgrade to "Speedy Karts" (often LO206 or similar 4-stroke race engines) for drivers who qualify by setting a fast lap time in the standard rentals. These are significantly faster and handle like real race karts.
