Epic racing adventures start here in Georgia.

Georgia’s karting scene is headlined by a single "bucket-list" venue: Atlanta Motorsports Park. Located in the foothills of Dawsonville, this track offers a driving experience that rivals professional European circuits. For those closer to the city, the metro Atlanta area is the capital of indoor entertainment, featuring multiple massive electric karting complexes that mix high-speed racing with bowling and arcades.

The undisputed champion of Georgia karting is Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) in Dawsonville. Designed by legendary F1 track architect Hermann Tilke, this outdoor circuit features 43 feet of elevation change, which is virtually unheard of in the karting world. It operates a fleet of Sodi RT8 gas karts capable of speeds over 55 mph. Unlike flat parking-lot tracks, this is a "driver’s track" that requires genuine skill to master. In the indoor world, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games reigns supreme. With major locations in Marietta and Buford, these facilities set the standard for "eat, play, race" entertainment. They run high-torque Biz Kart electric karts on climate-controlled tracks. The Buford location is particularly notable for its ability to combine tracks into a massive "Supertrack" for special events. For thrill-seekers, Fun Spot America in Fayetteville offers a different kind of rush. It is home to Samson, a multi-level outdoor track that stands over 40 feet tall and features three helixes. At 1,800 feet long, it is one of the most intense "amusement style" kart tracks in the country. Reliable Alternatives:
  • K1 Speed (Duluth): A consistent, high-speed electric option in Gwinnett County, perfect for corporate events and parties.

Go karting in Georgia - FAQs

Common questions about karting in Georgia.

Yes. While AMP has a private members club for car racing, the Karting Circuit is open to the public for "Arrive & Drive" rentals, typically from Wednesday to Sunday. Reservations are highly recommended.

Drivers must be at least 12 years old and 58 inches tall to drive the standard adult karts at Atlanta Motorsports Park. They do not have "kiddie" karts for very young children like family fun centers do.

Both are excellent, but Buford is newer and features a track layout that can be combined into a "Supertrack" for special events. Marietta is the brand's prototype store but has been fully updated with modern karts and games.

Generally, K1 Speed has acquired many Autobahn locations across the US. In the Atlanta area, K1 Speed Duluth (Gwinnett) serves the electric karting market with a similar high-speed experience.
