Oregon remains a haven for drivers who prefer the mechanical feel of gas engines, though the landscape is shifting. While the closure of Rogue Karting has left a gap in the south, the Willamette Valley and Central Oregon are thriving. The Portland metro area offers a rare mix of indoor gas and electric options, while Salem recently gained a massive multi-level electric track.

The undisputed king of Oregon karting is Pat’s Acres Racing Complex (PARC) in Canby. Nestled in the trees along the Pudding River, this outdoor facility is legendary in the Northwest. It runs a fleet of Sodi gas rental karts on a technical road course that is grippy, fast, and physically demanding. It is widely considered the best "driver's track" in the state. In the Portland Metro area, you have a distinct choice:
  • K1 Speed (Hillsboro): The modern choice. It features high-torque electric karts on a clean, consistent indoor track, perfect for corporate events and casual groups.
  • Sykart Indoor Racing Center (Tigard): The enthusiast choice. This facility continues to run gas-powered karts indoors, offering the sound, smell, and slide that purists love.
In Central Oregon, K1 Speed Bend puts the high desert on the map. As one of the brand's earlier locations, it provides a consistent year-round racing option for residents of Deschutes County. New & Notable: In Salem, Electric Castle's Wunderland opened a brand new multi-level electric kart track in late 2024. Designed by 360 Karting, it features two stories of neon-lit racing, bringing a modern entertainment style to the capital city. Southern Oregon Update: With the permanent closure of Rogue Karting in Medford, high-speed indoor racing is currently unavailable in the south. Residents now look to Rogue Valley Family Fun Center (Central Point) for casual outdoor family racing.
