Kartbahn Racing FAQs

Venue-specific questions and answers for this circuit.

Kartbahn Racing is now a fully outdoor facility. They moved from their previous indoor location in Bayers Lake to their current outdoor site at the Halifax Exhibition Centre (HEC).

The adult gas karts are capable of speeds around 60-65 kph (approx. 40 mph). While this might sound moderate, on a technical track with your seat inches from the ground, the sensation of speed is intense.

Kartbahn has one of the most accessible height requirements in the industry. Drivers must be at least 42 inches (107 cm) tall to race. This allows children as young as 8 (sometimes younger if tall enough) to participate.

While "Arrive & Drive" is available, reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends and sunny days. You can book your slot by phone to ensure you don't face long wait times.

As an outdoor track, operations are weather-dependent. Heavy rain or standing water may cause delays or cancellations for safety reasons. It is always best to check their social media or call ahead if the weather looks doubtful.

Currently, the fleet consists of single-seater karts. All drivers must be able to drive their own kart and meet the minimum height requirement.
