About Warburg Kart Track
Warburg Kart Track is the 1.1-kilometre outdoor home of the Edmonton & District Kart Racing Association, a volunteer-run competition club in Warburg, Alberta. A member-run competition circuit
Warburg Kart Track is operated by the Edmonton & District Kart Racing Association, a non-profit club organised by members and volunteers. Its 1.1-kilometre outdoor circuit supports owner-driver racing, practice, driver development and scheduled club events.
This is not an ordinary arrive-any-time rental track. Visitors should consult the EDKRA calendar, join the relevant programme or arrange approved practice before travelling with the expectation of driving.
Try-A-Kart and club access
- Try-A-Kart: the current introductory programme starts from age eight and is designed for complete newcomers.
- Age groups: published introductory classes separate cadet ages 8–10 from standard participants aged 11 and over.
- Session structure: a typical event includes 30–45 minutes in the classroom followed by three ten-minute track sessions.
- Supplied equipment: the kart, helmet, race suit and gloves are provided for Try-A-Kart participants.
Club racing and family involvement
EDKRA promotes both recreational and competitive karting with classes for young drivers through adults. Race weekends, test-and-tune etiquette, track dealers and driver-development routes make the venue most useful to people considering club motorsport or already running their own equipment.
Before you visit
- Book a programme: register for a dated Try-A-Kart session or confirm club access rather than expecting casual rentals.
- Complete the waiver: the operator sends a required waiver before introductory sessions.
- Bring essentials: wear closed-toe running shoes and bring water and a snack because regular food is not available at the circuit.
- Check current information: use the EDKRA schedule or contact marketing@edkra.ca before making the trip to Warburg.
