Discover family-friendly and pro karting across Kent.

Kent is widely regarded as the spiritual home of British karting. With its rolling hills and abundance of space, the "Garden of England" hosts a trio of world-class outdoor circuits that have produced more Formula 1 champions than any other region. If you are serious about racing, Kent is the place to be.

The undisputed jewel in the crown is Buckmore Park (Chatham). Set within a stunning woodland bowl just off the M2, this track is steeped in history. It is where Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button learned their craft, and the circuit remains one of the most professional and picturesque in the world. It runs a fleet of high-speed Sodi RT8 petrol karts on a technical 1,000m layout that feels more like a miniature Grand Prix track than a rental venue. Further south on the Romney Marsh lies Lydd Kart Circuit. This is a powerhouse of a track, boasting a 1,040m layout that is popular for its high speeds and wide run-offs. It is a favourite for owner-drivers and hosts major championships, but its twin-engine rental karts offer the general public a taste of true speed. Completing the outdoor "Big Three" is Bayford Meadows in Sittingbourne. A pro-level 1,100m circuit known for its technical complexity, it is the driver's choice for those who want a pure, no-nonsense racing challenge on high-grip tarmac. For indoor racing, Soar Electric Karting in Gillingham (Medway) provides a modern alternative. It features a multi-level track and uses high-torque electric karts, offering weather-proof racing just minutes from the historic Buckmore Park.
