Lydd Kart Circuit
About Lydd Kart Circuit
Located on the Dengemarsh Road in Lydd, Kent, Lydd Kart Circuit is a massive, permanent outdoor racing venue that caters equally to serious motorsport professionals and adrenaline-hungry members of the public. Built around a phenomenal 1,040-metre MSA-licensed circuit, it is widely recognized as one of the fastest go-karting tracks in the country. Rather than an indoor entertainment center, this is a true grassroots motorsport hub that regularly hosts Club100 and IKR (Independent Kart Racing) championships. However, they also run a highly popular "Arrive 'n Drive" rental program, allowing everyday thrill-seekers to strap into blisteringly fast twin-engine ProKarts and test their limits on a wide, sweeping, high-speed outdoor track.

The Racing Experience
- The Track: A 1,040-metre MSA-licensed permanent outdoor circuit. It is built purely for speed and flow, featuring massive straightaways and wide, sweeping bends that allow for multiple racing lines, late braking, and high-speed side-by-side overtakes.
- The Karts: The rental fleet is heavily tiered by age to ensure safety on such a fast circuit:
- Adults (17+ years old): For adult-only sessions, drivers get access to the heavy-duty Biz-Honda twin-engine ProKarts (320cc). These machines deliver massive straight-line speed and can hit an estimated 70 mph, requiring real bravery and physical effort to wrestle through the corners.
- Juniors (8-16 years old) & Families: Drivers utilize standard, speed-restricted single-engine karts.
- Bambinos (6-7 years old): Lydd is one of the rare tracks that runs a dedicated Bambino Academy, allowing young kids to learn proper racecraft using race-spec Wright Karts.
The Facilities & Extra Attractions
- Motorsport Hub: Because this track hosts professional race weekends, the facilities are geared toward motorsport. There is a large pit/paddock area, a trackside cafe serving hot food, and elevated viewing areas for spectators.
- Format Options: They offer a variety of highly flexible Arrive 'n Drive formats, ranging from simple 15-minute practice sprints to gruelling 60-minute Iron Man endurance sessions for adult groups.
