Detailed guide

CalSpeed Karting was the premier outdoor karting facility in Southern California for nearly 20 years. Located just outside the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, the track was world-renowned for its "Machismo 12-Hour" endurance race and its highly competitive "Super Series" rental league. It served as the home base for major clubs like LAKC (Los Angeles Karting Championship) and Tri-C Karters, developing countless pro drivers.

Status: Permanently Closed

  • Closure: The facility hosted its final laps on December 4, 2022.
  • The Reason: NASCAR sold the majority of the Auto Club Speedway land (approx. 433 acres) for $544 million to be redeveloped into an industrial logistics park. The kart track sat directly in the path of the new warehouse construction.
  • The Site Today: The original track has been demolished. The area is now part of the massive Speedway Commerce Center industrial complex.
