About Stockholm Karting Center

Shunning the indoor, electric, and family-entertainment models, SKC is a dedicated, old-school outdoor racing facility. It serves as the primary hub for competitive kart racing in the state, offering a world-class 0.65-mile road course, a full-service kart shop, and rental garages. But you don't need to own a professional kart to race here; SKC operates a blistering fleet of CRG rental karts, allowing the general public to experience the high-speed thrills of a legitimate racing circuit.

The Racing Experience
- The Track: A sprawling 0.65-mile outdoor road course featuring 14 distinct turns. Averaging 26 feet wide, it offers an incredibly safe but highly competitive layout with massive passing opportunities. The track is technically demanding, combining long straightaways, sweeping banked turns, and two significant elevation changes.
- The Karts: The venue recently upgraded to a fresh fleet of premium, gas-powered CRG Centurion rental karts. These are heavy-duty, European-designed machines capable of hitting up to 40 mph on the straights, providing an authentic, raw racing experience complete with roaring engines and exhaust notes.
The Facilities & Extras
- The Motorsport Hub: SKC is deeply embedded in the grassroots racing scene. The grounds are built for serious race weekends, featuring over 50 pit spots with electrical hookups, showers, a scale room, and private garage rentals with viewing decks.
- The Retail Shop: It is the only full-time kart retailer in Minnesota. The on-site shop carries major chassis brands (like Birel ART, Margay, and OTK) and provides full mechanical services, from chassis straightening to engine rebuilds.
- Private Parties: If you want the track to yourself, the facility can be rented out for two-hour private parties (accommodating up to 20 drivers), which is incredibly popular for corporate outings and stag events.
