About Splash n Putt
Splash n Putt Resort is Newfoundland’s premier family fun destination. Located on the Trans-Canada Highway just west of Terra Nova National Park (near Glovertown/Traytown), this venue is a legendary summer stop for road-trippers and locals alike. While famous for its massive water slides and swimming pools, the resort features a thrilling quarter-mile go-kart track that stands on its own as a top attraction. The track is designed with a unique "figure-8" style layout including a bridge and underpass, adding vertical excitement to the race. Whether you are cooling off in the splash pads or heating up the competition on the asphalt, Splash n Putt offers a full day of action in the heart of Central Newfoundland.

Detailed guide
The Track Layout
The go-kart track at Splash n Putt is one of the longest and most interesting outdoor tracks in the province.
- The "Quarter-Mile": Measuring approximately 400 meters, the track provides plenty of room to build speed.
- Features: The standout feature is the overpass/underpass system. You drive up and over a bridge and then dive back underneath the track, a "crossover" design that mimics professional circuit layouts like Suzuka.
- Turns: A mix of 90-degree corners and a hairpin 180-degree turn challenge your steering skills.
The Karts
The resort operates a fleet of "Eagle" chassis karts known for their durability and safety.
- Single Karts: For drivers 52" and taller. These gas-powered karts offer that authentic engine rumble and responsive handling.
- Double Karts: Ideal for families. An adult (or older teen) can drive while a child (minimum 36" tall) rides in the passenger seat. This is the perfect way to introduce younger kids to the sport before they are tall enough to drive solo.
Resort Facilities
You rarely visit Splash n Putt just for the karts—it’s a multi-activity complex.
- Water Park: Features a 300-foot water slide, activity pool, and bumper boats.
- Mini-Golf: An 18-hole course that offers a slower pace after the high-speed racing.
- Food & Amenities: The site typically features food services (including a Mary Brown’s Express in past seasons) and a snack bar. There are also locker rentals and change rooms for those using the water park.
- Camping: Cabins and camping options are available nearby in the Terra Nova area, making this a great hub for a weekend trip.
Pricing & Passes
Visitors can choose how they want to play:
- Pay-Per-Ride: You can buy individual tickets for just the go-karts if you are passing through.
- Day Pass: The best value for families. A wristband typically includes unlimited use of the water park, mini-golf, and a set number of rides on the "dry" attractions like go-karts and bumper boats.
