Indoor karting in Palmerston North
Daytona Indoor Raceway has operated as a family-owned local venue for more than 30 years. Its current operator pages describe a long indoor circuit with a main straight, flowing sections, technical corners and passing opportunities, without publishing a current engine specification.
Three driver categories
- Junior Kadet: ages 7–10 with a minimum height of 1.2m.
- Intermediate: ages 11–14 with a minimum height of 1.4m; adults can also use these karts.
- Adult: age 14 or older with a minimum height of 1.5m.
- Correct category: age, height and safe fit all determine the usable kart.
Race formats
- Casual: current public options include 15-minute Junior, Intermediate and Adult races.
- Intermediate 20: a separate 20-minute product provides longer mixed-age access in Intermediate karts.
- Daytona 25 and Enduro: longer Adult products add practice, multiple races or an 80-lap format.
- Drift sessions: advertised evening drift products run separately from normal racing.
Groups and practical planning
- Birthdays: Junior groups can receive exclusive-track use, briefing, helmet fitting and timed results.
- Team events: Daytona 100 and 150 formats use relays, pit changes and live timing for 14–32 drivers.
- Opening hours: the current contact page publishes weekday, Saturday and Sunday windows; confirm holiday changes.
- Booking: contact the operator before travelling; the directory intentionally does not expose a New Zealand checkout.
