Detailed guide

The Brighton circuit

TeamSport Brighton is in Lancing rather than central Brighton. Its 450m indoor track runs over multiple levels through 12 corners, a banked flyover and a Monaco-style tunnel.

The electric fleet includes Biz EcoVolt GT adult karts and Biz EcoVolt junior karts. TeamSport advertises up to 45mph for the adult fleet, while junior karts are limited to a lower speed.

Driver categories

  • Cadet access: age eight or older with at least a 25-inch inside-leg measurement.
  • Adult karts: age 13 or older with at least a 29-inch inside-leg measurement.
  • Grand Prix: the current dedicated format starts at age 16 and requires at least six drivers.
  • Final fit: staff must be satisfied that each driver can control the selected kart safely.

Experiences and facilities

The live catalogue covers adult open karting, family racing, an exclusive Grand Prix, a kids' party and promotional race products. Spectating is free, while the venue also publishes food, drink, free parking, Wi-Fi and a partially accessible ground-floor spectator area.

On the day

  • Arrive 40 minutes early: reception, changing and the safety briefing happen before driving.
  • Wear closed shoes: footwear must cover the whole foot and long hair must be secured.
  • Use the supplied kit: race suit, gloves and helmet are provided; bring or buy a balaclava.
  • Choose the correct product: check age, group size and race format in the live catalogue before checkout.
