Lake Garnett Sprint Track

About Lake Garnett Sprint Track

Lake Garnett Sprint Track is an outdoor owner-driver circuit used for selected Kansas City Karting Association rounds in the current 2026 schedule. It is not a public rental attraction and access is event-led. The former FAQ claim that only KCKA members can race was too broad: the association publishes non-member race fees, while membership is specifically required for open practice. Unsupported catering, YouTube and Liberty Cup claims have been removed; directory booking remains disabled.

Detailed guide

Event-led kart racing at Lake Garnett

Lake Garnett Sprint Track appears in the Kansas City Karting Association’s 2026 race schedule at 1601 North Lake Road, Garnett. It is an owner-driver competition venue rather than a public Arrive & Drive attraction, so visitors should use the exact KCKA event notice instead of assuming daily access.

Membership and race access

  • Race entry: KCKA publishes both member and non-member race fees, so the old claim that only members may race was incorrect.
  • Practice boundary: the association states that open practice is members-only, but no general walk-in Garnett practice timetable is published.
  • No rental fleet: competitors bring a compliant kart and equipment for the class entered.
  • Rules: the 2026 KCKA and applicable Briggs or class rulebooks govern technical and safety eligibility.

Classes and calendar

  • Junior route: the current procedures include Kid Kart and other junior categories, with eligibility set by the relevant class rules.
  • Championship: Garnett rounds contribute to the association programme published for 2026.
  • No invented Liberty Cup link: the current schedule places the Liberty Cup at Liberty and does not support the former directory claim that it is split with Lake Garnett.
  • No subjective surface claim: unsupported wording about “ideal grip” has been removed.
