Detailed guide
Traxx Indoor Raceway was a staple of the Seattle karting scene for nearly a quarter-century. Located near the Boeing factory in Mukilteo, it was famous for its "old school" vibe—using loud, gas-powered karts on a high-grip concrete surface. Unlike the modern electric franchises, Traxx offered a raw, visceral racing experience with a dedicated following among local league racers and drift enthusiasts.
Status: Permanently Closed
- Closure: The facility officially closed its doors on October 30, 2022.
- The Reason: Owners Jan and Rick Wanzer decided to retire after 24 years of operation. Facing a 5-year lease renewal, they chose to exit the business rather than commit to another long term.
- The Site Today: The building at 4329 Chennault Beach Rd has been completely converted. It is now the fabrication facility and showroom for Five Star Granite Inc..
