Detailed guide

Historic outdoor karting at Whiteland

K1 Circuit Whiteland occupies the former Whiteland Raceway Park and is explicitly an outdoor kart facility, not an indoor K1 Speed centre. The operator describes nearly 70 years of history and four main configurations for rentals, owner practice, leagues, coaching and national competition.

Arrive & Drive rentals

  • Eligibility: age 13+, minimum height 60 inches and maximum weight 275lb, subject to safe fit.
  • Karts: single-seat, gas-powered competition rentals; no passenger kart is offered.
  • Race duration: ten minutes.
  • Access: public racing is first-come, first-served; groups of eight or more are encouraged to reserve separately.
  • Licence: a K1 Circuit licence is required and is separate from K1 Speed races and licences.

Kart-owner practice

  • Hours: open practice is normally Tue-Sun 9am-4pm, subject to the calendar; rental karting is published daily 9am-9pm.
  • Noise: the detailed rules set 95dB for two-strokes and 85dB for four-strokes, while the general list also repeats a 95dB test. Drivers should follow the class-specific rule confirmed on site.
  • Safety: owner karts may be refused if unsafe, too loud or likely to damage the track.
  • Equipment: owners need a homologated suit, closed-toe shoes, full-face approved helmet and gloves, with extra protection for younger classes.

Planning a visit

  • Rental clothing: long sleeves, long pants, closed-toe shoes and gloves; helmets and suits can be borrowed.
  • Track programme: check the live calendar because practice, Arrive & Drive, Indy Karting Challenge and other events share the facility.
  • No directory booking: Kart Directory does not expose the operator’s external race checkout.
